Coral Energy actively participated in the annual Turkey – Black Sea and East Med Refining and Trading Conference held on 23-24 November 2023 in Izmir, Turkey. Our dedicated trading team engaged in discussions covering key aspects of the regional refining and petrochemical products market, including price trends, trade streams, and production technologies.
The agenda highlights included insights into the Black Sea and East Med refining geography, the role of Georgian ports of Batumi and Kulevi for Kazakh, Azeri and Turkmen exports, and an exploration of the regional bunker market for key players, component sources, and pricing at Istanbul and other key bunker ports.
The conference participants discussed the Turkey’s domestic market dynamics, focusing on motor fuels, jet fuel, and crude, gas, and feedstock menus and options for refineries and petrochemical production in Turkey, Bulgaria, and Romania.
Additionally, the delegates had an opportunity to embark on a site visit to SOCAR’s STAR, Aliağa, and Petkim facilities.
