We negotiate long-term, cost-effective supply arrangements.  We thoroughly control lifting, refining, terminal storage, and distribution processes to maintain the highest quality standards throughout each stage.

Coral Energy commands a credit portfolio of USD 2 billion from first-class global and regional trade finance banks. We have cultivated these banking relationships for many years, and these relationships and the credit facilities they provide fuel our trades.

We make sure the products are paid for on time, we finance transit and the products themselves during transit, and very often we are able to provide special terms to producers and refiners. In doing so, Coral Energy enables upstream and refining industry participants to focus their capital where it works best – in production and refining.

Price Risks

Coral Energy operates very conservative price risk management policies. We hedge everything.

Our derivatives desk uses the whole range of risk management tools available in the market  –  from  basic futures and swaps to complex options structures. Our derivatives turnover volume follows the growth of our physical trading and reflects our multistage hedging activities.

Physical and Credit Risk

All our trading operations as well as cargo and chartered vessels are covered and insured against all potential political, operational, and financial risks. We work with leading international marine and credit risk insurers. We make certain each vessel chartered by Coral Energy has a first-class charterer’s liability policy. We also maintain extensive public liability coverage for any potential risks to public and third parties. We have credit insurance in place to minimize the risks associated with non-payment or non-delivery for open account sales or purchases.

Commodity supply chains are geographically long and complex, spanning across vast distances to connect production facilities, refineries, distribution centers, and ultimately, consumers worldwide.  A perfectly tuned multimodal logistics operation is essential to support that. Coral Energy’s dedicated shipping, chartering and demurrage desk is committed to ensuring a seamless and efficient operation that encompasses both inland and marine shipping. Our experienced team adeptly orchestrates the movement of products through various modes of transport, guaranteeing timely deliveries and cost-efficiency.

Each year, in collaboration with our strategic supply partners, Coral Energy manages the movement of tens of thousands of rail tanks, and charters thousands of vessels ranging from 5 kt barges to 120 kt Suezmaxes. Our integrated approach ensures a reliable and flexible supply chain solution tailored to the unique needs of our clients, underpinned by precision, sustainability, and exceptional service.

Trading, at its core, is a process of correcting imbalances – whether in terms of commodity availability or quality.
